I wonder what the next companion will be? If I were to have a say it might be something akin to Dr. 2's companion, Jamie. A bloke to chum around with and not have any of this sexual tension stuff that the Tardis is replete with.
I'm guessing the new replacement will be a woman (or even Jackie *shudder*) but I hope the backstory has a little more mileage. Rose was fine in Season 1, but Season 2 just seems to have retread everything and made both her and the Doctor seem a little too obsessed with one another.
